THE BRIDE WORE A BIRDCAGE VEIL

Olivia & Charlie

For their New York City Hall ceremony, the bride and groom wore vintage striped suiting, both the two-piece men’s suit and the women’s skirt suit were found together at Ebreo Vintage, one might say it was meant to be. Before the wedding day, both looks were altered side by side at Chasing Tailor in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

For the ceremony, the bride wore a custom WORKROOM 1991 double-layer birdcage veil, a sculptural silhouette created especially for her City Hall wedding look.

Olivia’s vintage bridal look featured long pearl drop earrings, a pearl headband, a custom handmade birdcage veil and white calla lilies wrapped in strands of pearls, draping at her side.

The bride and groom went from ceremony to celebration through the streets of New York, stopping for classic bites and waterfront views, a true New York City Hall wedding day.

Handmade in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio using Italian tulle and traditional Italian millinery netting, the custom double-layer birdcage veil was designed, cut and entirely hand-sewn for Olivia.

The Italian tulle is cut slightly shorter than the millinery netting, emphasizing the vintage birdcage silhouette. Olivia customized the veil by shortening the tulle and reducing the fullness, refining the proportions to her own bridal vision.
