What is WORKROOM 1991?
WORKROOM 1991 is a designer-led bridal accessories showroom based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We create made-to-order wedding veils and bridal hair accessories using Italian tulle, Japanese ribbon and true French barrettes. Each piece is designed, cut and entirely hand-sewn in our studio.

Are you by appointment?
Yes. Our showroom is by appointment. To schedule a showroom visit to try on veils and hair accessories, email contact@workroom1991.com

What are your showroom hours?
Our showroom is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Additional times are available by request.

Where is the showroom located?
The WORKROOM 1991 showroom is located at 566 Lorimer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, within the Chasing Tailor studio.

Do you offer showroom consultations?
Yes. We offer one-on-one, private showroom appointments to try on wedding veils and bridal hair accessories.

Is there a consultation fee?
No. There is no consultation fee and no bridal fee.

Is WORKROOM 1991 part of Chasing Tailor?
Yes. The WORKROOM 1991 showroom operates within the Chasing Tailor studio.

What is Chasing Tailor?
Chasing Tailor is a tailoring and alterations studio with over 30 years of experience, specializing in bridal alterations, men’s and women’s suiting, tuxedos, evening wear and wedding guest attire, and alterations for designer, vintage, and archival garments, as well as everyday pieces including denim and T-shirts.

Can I schedule a veil consultation during my Chasing Tailor alterations appointment?
Yes. Veil and accessory consultations can be scheduled alongside your alterations appointment.

Do you offer custom wedding veils?
Yes. All custom bridal veils are designed in-house and made to order.

Where are your bridal veils and hair accessories made?
All wedding veils and hair accessories are handmade in-house at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio.

What materials do you use for your wedding veils?
All of our tulle is sourced and manufactured in Italy.

How long does it take to make a wedding veil?
Each veil is made to order and hand-sewn in our Brooklyn studio. Most bridal veils require 6–8 weeks. If you are working with a shorter timeline, email contact@workroom1991.com

Do you work with vintage veils?
Yes. We can alter, reshape, and rework vintage veils while preserving the original design.

Can you add a hair comb to my vintage veil?
Yes. We can hand-sew a metal hair comb to your veil and refine placement for your hairstyle and overall look.

My vintage veil has a headpiece sewn to it, can you remove it?
Yes. We can carefully remove the headpiece.

Can you shorten my vintage veil?
Yes. We can shorten the length and refine the proportion.

I have vintage fabric, can you make it into a veil?
Yes. We can work with your fabric to create a custom veil and advise on silhouette.

I want to incorporate elements of my mom’s vintage wedding dress into my veil, is that possible?
Yes. We can incorporate elements from your dress into a custom veil. We would elevate the vintage materials and present options for the veil design.

Can you add a wristlet bustle to my vintage veil?
Yes. We can add a wristlet bustle and color match the ribbon to your dress. Our ribbon is double-face satin, made in Japan.

My vintage veil is an heirloom, will it be handled with care?
Yes. All veils are handled with care and respect, especially heirloom pieces and vintage materials.

Can you repair damage to a vintage veil?
Yes. We can assess the veil, elevate the piece, and advise on what is possible.
